My Account Overview

Each user in Ripple has a personal My Account page to view their account information and settings, as well as their study roles and email preferences. This page can be found in the top left corner of your account.

My Account

The My Account page has three primary sections:

Personal Details

The Personal Details section allows you to manage your account information and time zone preferences. Here, you can update your title, name, email, phone number, and password, as well as choose the time zone in which you’d like Ripple to display.

Time Zone Settings

By default, Ripple automatically selects your local time zone when you set up your account. You can change this at any time. If you select a time zone that differs from your local one, Ripple will prompt you to confirm whether you’d like to switch back to your local time zone (for example, suggesting Ripple’s default time zone of Detroit).

To avoid seeing this prompt every time you log in, you can check the “Ignore Time Zone Discrepancy On Login” box. This option is especially helpful when traveling or when using a VPN that routes your connection through another time zone.

Studies, Roles, and Email Notifications 

This section displays the studies you have access to, along with your Study Role, Access Role, and email notification preferences.

Study Role

The role assigned in the study. Study Role does not impact permissions or functionality. Your Study Role is set by your Site or Study Admin.

Access Role

Determines the permissions and features available to you within each study. Your Access Role is set by your SIte or Study Admin.

Email Notifications

For each study, you can choose to receive the following notifications by selecting the appropriate checkbox for each study.

      • Daily Digest
      • Task Emails
      • Participant Emails
      • Survey Submission Notifications
Daily Digest

The Daily Digest is a once-daily, study specific email that provides you with a summary of tasks and events assigned to you. These notifications are designed to give you a clear, actionable view of what needs your attention. The Daily Digest includes

      • Tasks and events due today and tomorrow that are assigned to you
      • Overdue tasks that have not yet been completed
      • Unscheduled events that still need to be placed on the calendar
      • Past-dated events that were scheduled in the past but have not been updated
Task Emails

Task emails are sent immediately when there are updates to tasks assigned to you. You will receive a notification if:

      • Another user assigns a task to you

      • Another user makes a change to a task that is already assigned to you

You will not receive task emails for tasks you assign to yourself , update, or complete on your own.

Participant Emails

Participant Emails are sent immediately when a participant status is updated by another user. Additionally, you will receive a notification if another users selects the NOTIFY checkbox related to Comments, Emails, Contacts, and Consents.

You will not receive participant email notifications for comments, emails, contacts, and consents you add yourself.

Survey Submission

Survey Submission notifications are sent immediately when an external survey is completed.

Login and Account Creation

The left sidebar displays details about your account creation and recent logins. For each login, you can see the date, time, IP address, and browser used.

This section is useful for:

    • Monitoring account activity and security

    • Supporting audit and compliance requirements

    • Uploading a photo or image, which will be displayed at the top of the screen next to your name
