Optimizing Ripple Performance: Recommended Browser Use
To ensure the best experience, we recommend using Google Chrome when accessing Ripple. While the platform can be opened in other browsers like Safari, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge, some features may not perform as reliably outside of Chrome.
Why Chrome is Recommended
Ripple is developed and tested primarily in Google Chrome. As a result, using Chrome ensures:
- Faster page and feature load times
- More consistent report generation
- Fewer unexpected interface issues
- Full functionality of tools like calendar integrations, and drag-and-drop components
Using Other Browsers
You may still access Ripple in browsers like Safari, Firefox or Edge. However, you might encounter:
- Reports that fail to populate
- Interface glitches or slow responsiveness
- Buttons, modals, or menus that don’t behave as expected
If you encounter these types of issues, we suggest retesting the action in Chrome before submitting a support ticket.
For Labs with Browser Restrictions
If your institution limits which browsers can be installed (e.g. only Safari is allowed on iPads), we recommend reaching out to your IT Department to request an exception for installing Google Chrome on the device(s) used to access Ripple.
If needed, the Ripple team can provide a brief justification letter or additional support to help you make that request.
