Product Update Version 2.0.43 - Planned Release Date: December 16, 2025
New Feature Enhancements
Custom Variable Grouping & Ordering (RI-4297, RI-6628, RI-6512, RI-6511, RI-6260)
We’ve added Custom Variable Grouping to the Participant Profile Card, giving Study Administrators full control over how data is displayed.
Instead of hunting through long lists of variables, you can now organize related data into logical, collapsible groups. Keep your workspace clean, reduce visual clutter, and speed up your review process by seeing only the data relevant to the task at hand.
Pro Tip for Importing Data:
To ensure your data structure remains intact, please keep the following in mind:
- Start Fresh: Because this feature updates the architecture of the platform, previously exported Study Definitions are no longer valid for re-import. Always generate a fresh export of your Study Definitions before making changes to ensure compatibility.
- Component Imports: Note that Custom Variable Groups are structural elements and are not included when importing custom variables as individual components.
🐞 Bug Fixes
Bug Fix: SSO ID Not Visible in Add/Edit User Modal (RI-6667, SR-587)
For teams using SSO, the SSO ID field was not showing up when adding or editing a user. This display issue has now been resolved, and the field appears as expected.
Bug Fix: Unable to Clear Dates in Study Details (RI-6665)
We fixed an issue where removing dates on the Study DETAILS page (e.g. Active Recruitment Start Date, Active Recruitment End Date) did not actually save. You can now clear any of these fields, and Ripple will properly update the study details.
Bug Fix: Unable to Save Study Description (RI-6664)
Some users found that editing or adding a Study Description on the Study DETAILS page would not save. This issue has been corrected, so study descriptions now update reliably with each change.
Bug Fix: Missing Icons in Status Table (RI-6648, SR-586)
The triangle icon that signaled when a participant’s data was updated via an external survey was not appearing on the POTENTIAL PARTICIPANTS or ENROLLED PARTICIPANTS pages after submission of an external survey. This icon now displays correctly, giving teams better visibility into data updates.
Bug Fix: Modals Not Closing After Logout (RI-6621)
If a user’s session timed out, any open popups or modals sometimes stayed visible over the login screen. We’ve fixed this so that modals automatically close during logout, preventing confusion and ensuring a smooth return to the login page.
Bug Fix: Custom Variable Search Bar Layout (RI-6601)
The search bar on the participant card wasn’t lined up correctly, which could make the page feel cluttered. We’ve corrected the layout so the search field looks clean and behaves as expected.
Bug Fix: Inconsistent Date Formatting (RI-6562)
Some dates were appearing in different formats depending on the screen. We’ve standardized date formatting across Ripple, so everything is consistent. If your study uses the DD/MM/YYYY format based on its locale, Ripple will now apply it everywhere.
